What is Ayurveda, and how does it relate to skincare and wellness?
Ayurveda is an ancient healing system from India, rooted in the idea that health comes from living in harmony with nature, both externally and within ourselves. At Chryshakti, we weave Ayurvedic wisdom into our rituals by using doshic-balancing oils, marma point therapy, seasonal rhythms, and personalized skin care practices that support your body’s unique constitution (prakriti) while understanding your current body imbalances (vikruti). Every gesture, ingredient, and ritual is chosen to support your natural healing intelligence.
What are Doshas, and do I need to know mine beforehand?
Doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, are energies that govern your physical and emotional makeup.
You do not need to know yours before booking; part of our work is gently observing and identifying imbalances that may be showing up through your skin, mood, digestion, or energy levels. Through gentle dialogue and assessment, we’ll meet you exactly where you are.
What are Doshas and how do they affect my skin?
Doshas are the three fundamental energies in Ayurveda: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, that influence your body, mind, and skin. Each person has a unique balance of these energies, which affects how your skin behaves and reacts.
For example, excess Pitta (fire energy) may cause redness or sensitivity, while Vata (air + ether) imbalance might lead to dryness or flakiness.

What is Somatic Therapy and how is it included in your sessions?

Will these sessions involve talking, movement, or energy work?
Each session is unique and unfolds intuitively. Some include grounding breathwork, light movement, or gentle verbal guidance. Others may integrate subtle energy work, chakra alignment, or marma point stimulation. You’ll never be asked to do anything that doesn’t feel safe or comfortable. Your consent, nervous system, and intuition always lead the way.
Can these therapies help with stress, emotional release?
Yes. While Chryshakti is not a replacement for clinical mental health care, our work offers powerful support for emotional release, energetic stagnation, and nervous system realignment. Many guests leave sessions feeling lighter, more present, and deeply connected to their bodies. If you’re carrying heaviness, physically or emotionally, we’re here to hold space with compassion and reverence.
What should I expect emotionally during or after a session?

Can I receive treatments if I’m not comfortable being emotionally vulnerable?
Absolutely. Your comfort is our priority. While our sessions can open emotional pathways, you are never required to share or engage beyond your own willingness.
Treatments can be tailored to focus on physical relaxation and skin health alone. Many guests ease into deeper emotional work over time, always at their own pace.
What do Ayurvedic oils actually do? How are they different from regular skincare oils?
Ayurvedic oils are botanically infused with medicinal herbs specific to your dosha (body type) and imbalances. They’re hand-selected for their therapeutic effects, not just moisturizing, but calming inflammation, improving circulation, detoxifying, and restoring energetic harmony.
